Reasons educators give for not integrating technology into their lessons

Challenge: Can technology integrators and tech-experienced teachers help educators overcome these obstacles?

bullet It's pointless to design new lessons and create new materials. I already have lessons on file.
bullet I don't have the planning or class time to set everything up and get the students going
bullet My curriculum is overloaded; I have too much to teach and I can't add one more thing
bullet Classroom management would be out of control
bullet I like things the way they are. I was taught this way in school, and it worked for me.
bullet My district restricts the internet so we have extremely limited access
bullet My school (or district) doesn't have enough computers for my students
bullet Almost every time I try to use technology with my students, something goes wrong or doesn't work right.
bullet I'm afraid I'll look incompetent because I don't know enough about computers
bullet Students will end up playing and won't learn the curriculum content
bullet Grading projects is too complicated and inconsistent. Standardized tests are more clearcut.
bullet I'll let the media specialist or the technology integrator use technology with my students. That's their job.
